(New Region) - The Consulate Office of the Azerbaijan Republic will open in Yekaterinburg, a capital of the Sverdlovsk oblast and hub of Russia's Ural region, in 2005.
Following the announcement, the Minister for International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk oblast, Viktor Koksharov said that the issue had almost been solved.
The Sverdlovsk oblast has a sizeable Azeri community of over 300,000.
